This remarkable album emerges as a compelling fusion of hiphop, lofi, and instrumental boombap, paying homage to the iconic sounds of J Dilla, The Alchemist, Large Professor, Submerse, Long Arm, OhRicky, and Dibia$e, while crafting a distinctive narrative that is undeniably his own.
"Growin' Painz" encapsulates the universal theme of this young black man's journey through life's intricate tapestry. With unflinching authenticity, the album delves into the depths of love, the raw realities of the streets, the complexities of friendships, confrontations with adversaries, the quest for belonging, and the profound loss of cherished loved ones.
The album's inception was spurred by the title themed track "Growin' Painz," the lyrics state, "I'm Growing Older Now, Now I'm Learning How, To BE," these simple words served as a beacon of inspiration that ignited the creation of this deeply personal and evocative musical narrative.
